About

My latest character creation is Emmerick, The Reptilian Humanoid. It was a challenging 5-week project that required a lot of dedication and patience, especially when it came to creating the intricate scales. To achieve the desired effect and a good displacement map, I used a variety of techniques, including masking, alphas, and custom VDM brushes on Zbrush. Texturing was done in Substance Painter and I rendered it in Arnold/Maya. Finally, I spent the time needed to perfect the lookdev and compositing in Maya and Nuke, and used AI tool Audiogen.co, for ambient sound. All adding to give Emmerick a unique and intriguing appearance.
